HEAT TREATMENT OF STAINLESS 422
●  To anneal, heat to 1600° to 1650°F (871° to 899°C), then slowly cool in furnace
●  For stress relief, heat to 1100° to 1150°F (593° to 621°C) before furnace or air cooling
●  Harden by heating to 1875° to 1925°F (1024° to 1052°C) before oil quenching and tempering

Duplex Stainless Steel 329 was one of the earliest duplex steel which is reflected in its higher permitted carbon content. Its resistance to pitting (PREN about 32) and to crevice corrosion is below that of super duplex steels, therefore use in seawater is limited. Exposure to moderate and high temperature and less rapid cooling may cause embrittlement.
Accordingly, design stress values in ASME II do not extend above 260°C for S32900. Impact values are high at room temperature. However, the proportion and orientation of ferrite in welds and base material may significantly affect toughness at subzero temperatures.

Duplex Stainless Steel 329 also conforms, or is similar to EN/DIN 1.4460 and 00Cr25Ni5Mo2, SUS 329J1, AISI 329, UNS S32900, Brands SS44, SS 2324, Din X8CrNiMo27-5, ASME SA268, ASTM A268, ASTM A511, SS 14 2324, SIS 14 2324 and 453S

Custom 450 UNS S4500 Round Bars

Custom 450* UNS S4500
A martinsitic precipitation hardening steel, Custom 450© stainless steel offers high strength combined with excellent corrosion resistance similar to 304 stainless in corrosion resistance with moderate strength similar to that of 410 stainless. As with most precipitation hardened alloys, Custom 450© stainless has excellent transverse properties.
Used when ease of welding and brazing in fabrication is required. Custom 450©, unlike many precipitation hardening grades, Custom 450© can be used in the annealed condition.
Applications: Valve parts, Paper mills, aircraft and power generation, chemical processing, nuclear and space craft.
Heat Treatment: Solution heat treatment, heat at 1875/1925f (1024/1052c cool to below 90f (32c) to allow material to fully martensite. Material can be air cooled, but should be rapidly quenched for best response to aging.
Aging: All solution treated materials: Condition H-900 4hrs and air cool. H-900 offers the best combination of ductility, strength and toughness. H-1150 increases ductility but decreases strength.

Custom 465 Round Bars

Alloy 465 is a martensitic, age hard enable alloy. Alloy 465 is capable of ultimate tensile strength in excess of 250 ksi in the over aged (H 950) condition. By over aging Alloy 465 to the H1000 condition, Alloy 465 obtains a superior combination of strength, toughness and stress corrosion cracking.

15-5 PH Properties Stainless Steel Bars

15-5 PH STAINLESS STEEL BAR
15-5 is a variant of the older 17-4 chromium-nickel-copper precipitation hardening stainless steel. Both alloys exhibit high strength and moderate corrosion resistance. High strength is maintained to approximately 600 degrees F. The 15-5 alloy was designed to have greater toughness than 17-4. This improved toughness is achieved by reduced delta ferrite content and control of inclusion size and shape.

Nickel 200, also known as UNS N02200, is considered commercially pure 99% wrought nickel, one of the toughest metals. Its characteristics include excellent mechanical properties, a low gas content, low vapor pressure, magnetic properties, and high thermal and electrical conductivity. These properties and its chemical composition make Nickel 200 fabricatable and highly resistant to corrosive environments. It is useful in any environment below 600° F, as well as highly resistant to corrosion by neutral and alkaline salt solutions. Nickel 200 also has low corrosion rates in neutral and distilled water, it can be hot formed to any shape and formed cold by all methods.
